We are happy to write this letter of recommendation for Holly Stockman. Holly helped us buy a home in Los Altos, and we were extremely pleased through the entire process. Here are some of the highlights:
- Holly identified great homes for us. She really listened to what we were looking for and recommended homes that were right for us.
- She gave top-notch, objective advice in evaluating homes. Holly has a lot of experience and was able to point out flaws that we didn’t consider.
- Holly was very patient with us. We looked at many homes but never felt any pressure to make a bid. In fact, Holly was often the one to dissuade us from making a bid when she saw problems with a house.
- Holly is exceptionally responsive and diligent. She quickly responded to our calls and emails, and was proactive throughout the process. She brought in a contractor to determine the cost of some renovations we wanted to do. She uncovered some issues in the pre-closing inspection and took care of everything to address them; she set up a special escrow and hired the service person to repair the problem.
- Holly’s guidance and leadership during the bidding, negotiation, inspection and closing process was terrific. We had a protracted, somewhat difficult negotiation, and Holly was tough when necessary but was always fair and reasonable.
- Holly went way above and beyond what we expected of her. We closed on our home the day our daughter was born, so Holly helped us front load the paperwork so that she could do the closing without any involvement from us. Even after closing, she continued to manage the details of a special escrow and lease back to the seller which enabled us to focus on our newborn.
- Holly is a great person. We really like Holly and will miss working with her!

We live out of state and were in town for a very short time to sell a rental property we had in Menlo Park. We had received several agent recommendations from friends, and family as well as our own research. At the same time we received a mailer from a company called @listings Residential Real Estate Services. We were intrigued as they offered a flat fee for Sellers rather than the usual percentage. We had some very specific needs and wants as to how the house was to be handled while on the market that required “going the extra mile”, by the listing agent.
After interviewing all the agents we had contacted, we called Carlos and Holly back and asked them if they would be able to accommodate our specific needs, as no one else seemed to be able or willing to. Carlos and Holly assured us that they could. They provided us with resources to prepare the property for market, handled all the details, and we were on the MLS in prompt fashion.
After only 1 week on the market, they brought us two offers and we were able to sell the property for full price. Their service was outstanding and we were so satisfied that when it was time to sign the closing papers at the Title Company it was another bonus to see the flat fee commission rather than the standard 3%, as I had completely forgotten about it.
We saved $19,500 in commission and because @listings also was able to secure a buyer, the buyer they represented received a 50% rebate on their commission due to the @listings Buyer Rebate Program, so everyone saved money and all had a smooth and successful transaction.

I recently decided to sell a lot in Atherton that had been in my family for nearly 70 years. I’ve done several real estate transactions with Carlos over the last 20 years while he was an agent with a large national brokerage. All of those deals were handled successfully and without problems. Carlos recently joined @Listings Residential Real Estate Service, a new company offering huge incentives and commission savings to his clients. I was curious to see if I would receive the same level of service I have become accustomed to receiving from him.
For this transaction we decided not to list the property on the MLS service. Instead, I was counting on Carlos’ vast network of agents, contacts, and use of technology, to find us a buyer. Within the last year, Carlos Aguilar has represented me in the purchase of two Atherton properties. My business is residential development and Carlos identified two very attractive properties for potential projects. Holly Stockman was referred to us by one of our neighbors for the sale of our property on the coast in Montara. Although we have not pursued the sale of that property, we met with Holly again several months later to discuss the sale of our parent’s home in Half Moon Bay. Holly sent us information about the market before seeing the property and met with us several weeks later to review the information. With the help of many family members we were immediately ready to list the house and begin marketing the home for sale.
